Gourmet chocolate interesting wedding favors are one of the most popular choices brides across the country make to sweeten their special day. Whether it is for a bridal shower or reception, gourmet chocolate wedding favors add an elegant touch to the gathering that guests appreciate and remember.

“Here comes the bride …” Actually, about 2.5 million of them in 2015 across the United States.

Weddings are one of life’s defining moments and more and more attention is being paid to not just an unforgettable ceremony but also an impressive guest experience. There is so much that goes into planning and executing this special occasion that no detail is too small to overlook.

According to an exhaustive study of 18,000 brides who were married last year, the wedding industry’s leading resource, The Knot, reports some fascinating statistics:

Average cost of a wedding: $32, 641 (excluding honeymoon)

Average marrying age: Bride, 29 Groom, 31

Average cost of a wedding dress: $1,469

Average number of guests: 139

Average cost per guest: $237

Summer has long been considered the wedding season but that tradition has yielded increasingly to autumn nuptials. In 2015, 33% of weddings were summertime (down 6%) while weddings in September (15%), October (17%) and November (7%) accounted for 39%. Couples most likely to register for wedding gifts live in Michigan and Vermont while those in Hawaii and Nevada are least likely.

Three of the top 4 most expensive places in the country to get married are in downstate New York, with Manhattan taking top honors with an average wedding cost of $82,299. The most economical places to get married are Alaska ($17,361) followed by South Dakota ($18,890) and west Texas ($19,261). The average engagement ring will set the groom back $5,871 with the average rehearsal dinner coming in at just under $1,300. Over one-quarter of all couples hire a professional wedding planner at an average cost of just under $2,000.

If you are in Nebraska, you have the most guests at your wedding (219) whereas if you are tying the knot on the beaches of Hawaii your guest party is the smallest in the nation at 71. Idaho and South Dakota virtually tie for the youngest brides and grooms (about 26 and 28 years-old respectively) while the most mature marrying ages for brides and grooms belong to Manhattan, New York (33 and 35 respectively).

Part of creating that totally unforgettable experience is attention to detail. In an event with so many moving parts, every aspect of the day becomes another opportunity to personalize the vibe and celebrate the couple. And while the pressure can percolate, a lot of the planning and decision process can also be a fun time shared by family and friends.

Working more than 20 years in New York City’s bridal magazine industry, Cathy Tracey knows a lot about what impresses discerning brides when it comes to unique favors. She knows that the right favors create conversation, set an elegant tone and add to the specialness of the occasion. So, when it was time to host her sister’s bridal shower this past summer, she went on a mission to make it memorable.

“I admit I was struggling to find that extra special “something” that had not been seen before – something that would be the talk of the party,” Tracey says.

Tracey found the answer for her gourmet chocolate wedding favors at Chocolate Pizza Company. The hostess-to-be ordered 3 of the hand-decorated, gourmet chocolate gowns – in milk, dark and white chocolate – which she placed on plate stands as a centerpiece of the main table. She added a mix of the “lace & pearls” mini Chocolate Pizzas and chocolate covered cookies and the result was the hit of the shower.
