Drumstick Chocolate Pizza is one of our newest creations and rapidly becoming an instant classic. The idea actually came to us through a Facebook contest we ran on our website where followers could suggest new ideas for the next Chocolate Pizza. We received hundreds but the winner was one that picked up on the Drumstick theme from one of our chocolate specialties. Years ago, we created a Drumstick – a 4 inch salted pretzel rod covered in caramel, rolled in nuts, drenched in milk or dark chocolate and sprinkled with a dash of sea salt. Our contest winner said make a Chocolate Pizza like that. It was a flash of genius so we did.
This new Chocolate Pizza is a twist of our very popular caramel and nut Drumstick. We start with gourmet milk or dark chocolate, blend in salted pretzel pieces and top it with caramel, cashews, pecans, walnuts and salted caramel pieces with a border of pink Himalayan sea salt. Simply amazing! Add our famous Peanut Butter Wings – crisp, rippled potato chips covered in creamy peanut butter and drenched in rich milk or dark chocolate – for a sweet “Pizza & Wings Combo.”

The process starts by tempering the chocolate with a technique that raises and lowers the temperature in very precise ways to change the physical properties within the chocolate. The controlled melting of the chocolate is critical to obtaining a high quality final product. Done correctly, tempering gives the chocolate to strength, shine and a velvety, melt-in-your-mouth feel.
Once the toffee is done bubbling away it cools on baking sheets before going to a food processor to be ground fine and then stirred into our melted chocolate. Once blended, we scoop it into genuine pizza pans and add an array of toppings including your favorite candies or nuts.
For customers who want to personalize a Chocolate Pizzas for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries or special occasions, our chocolatiers create hand-decorated masterpieces. We use white chocolate to script a name, greeting or design by hand – an amazing talent to watch – but it gives it that personal touch. Once your Chocolate Pizza arrives, store it out of direct sunlight and in a cool, room temperature location between 55-70 degrees (F). It doesn’t need to be refrigerated or frozen and will stay fresh for months at room temperature. Remember, chocolate melts quickly above 75 degrees so avoid over-handling the product or exposing it to direct sunlight or a warm environment.
